About

"You must change your life."

This powerful line from Rilke’s 'Archaic Torso of Apollo' stayed with me last year as I gave up everything at once and changed my life. Again.

Of course, some things remain unchanged—like having three children, paying bills, and the November rain in Amsterdam. But for so many other things, the story was mine to rewrite. And I did. I started my journey into writing a novel, which has been a deep wish for a long time.

Slow Escapes was born out of personal transformation—a need to take a radical pause, reset, and explore new ways of being.

There is quiet magic that happens when people come to do this together. Slow Escapes is built on that idea: finding comfort in togetherness and creating space for processing or making way for life changes, big or small. Our retreats and gatherings sit at the intersection of art, travel, and culture, offering experiences where art, rest and curiosity meet.

In a tumultuous and fast-paced world, we invite you to slow down, connect, and reflect. Through thoughtful conversations, shared meals and moments of stillness, Slow Escapes offers a path to renewal—a chance to move forward with clarity, energy, and purpose.

Whether you’re seeking inspiration, rest, or simply a new way to experience the yourself and the world, Slow Escapes is a place to begin.

There is a quality in paying deep attention to what is in and around you.

I’m an Amsterdam-based intuitive artist, writer, mindfulness trainer, creative mentor, and ACT coach. With a background in the creative industry, primarily in People and Culture, I’ve spent years exploring how art, compassion, and connection can transform lives.

As a single mother of three young adults, I know how life’s transitions can challenge and inspire us to grow. This has fueled my passion for creating intimate travel retreats—thoughtfully curated spaces where people can pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and others.

My retreats are sanctuaries designed as in-between spaces. Spaces where opposites meet—East and West, head and heart, structure and flow—and where differences are not only welcomed but celebrated.

With roots in the Caribbean, Ireland and Asia and having lived and worked abroad I deeply believe in the power of diversity and belonging. My retreats bring together people from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences to learn, share, and grow in ways that feel authentic, inclusive, and freeing. Whether through workshops, creative sessions, or mindful practices, my aim is to provide a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, reflection, and meaningful connection.

In my work, I often question societal norms and expectations, seeking freedom from limiting structures and offering others the same. I see my retreats as places where people can rest, escape rigid roles and find clarity.
